DESCRIPTION
General description
The embryotoxicity of gold salt (HAuCl4 · 3H2O) is weaker than the embryotoxicities of a number of other nanoparticles used infor biomedical applications.
Application
Gold(III) chloride trihydrate can be used in the fabrication of colorimetric aptasensor for staphylococcus aureus.[1]
It can be reduced with polygala tenuifolia roots (green reducing agent) to produce gold nanoparticles (AuNPs).[2]
