These methylated and hydroxymethylated nucleotides are designed for use with epigenetic assays. The nucleotides are compatible with ZymoTaq and other DNA polymerases. They have been determined to be ultra-pure according to HPLC analysis. These reagents are free of endo/exo-deoxyribonucleases, ribonucleases, and phosphatases, human and E. coli DNA. The resultant PCR amplicons can be used in many applications including the study of binding and interacting proteins. The nucleotides are stable and guaranteed for 12 months.

5-Methyl dCTP can be used in nucleotide mixtures to generate PCR amplicons using ZymoTaq, QuestTaq, or other DNA polymerases.

Applicable For	PCR amplicons containing 5-methylcytosine are useful in a variety of applications such as studying 5-methylcytosine binding/interacting proteins or defining methods that distinguish between 5-methylcytosine and 5-hydroxymethylcytosine.
Concentration	5-Methylcytosine dNTP Mix: 1 µmol/100 µl as a [10 mM] solution.
Sample Storage	5-Methylcytosine dNTP Mix is guaranteed for 12 months at -20 °C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. For long-term storage, aliquoting is recommended with storage at -80 °C.
