DESCRIPTION
General description
Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards Poly(dimethylsiloxane) [PDMS] is a polymer. It is a stable silicone rubber. It has been used as ion selective membrane for ion-sensitive field-effect transistors, as spring material in accelerometers, elastomer on a tactile sensor and as flexible encapsulation material in decouple sensors.[1]
Application
It was used in a study performed to understand its molecular weight and molecular weight distribution by off-line coupling of GPC with MALDI mass spectrometer.[2]
These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. These are suitable for use in several analytical applications including but not limited to pharma release testing, pharma method development for qualitative and quantitative analyses, food and beverage quality control testing, and other calibration requirements.
Clear, colorless fluid polymer useful as a stationary phase in gas chromatography and as an anti-foaming agent.
